GLOSS-ARY

Curious as to why snow foaming a vehicle before hand washing is important?

Do you know the difference between a wax, sealant, and ceramic coating?

And what on earth is a clay bar?

Here is some information on what products / methods we use and why we use them.

Snow Foam - A soap that's used as a pre-wash. It sits on the vehicle for 2-3 minutes before we pressure wash off the road dirt and grime that has been gently lifted during the process - This minimizes scratches and marring caused by regular washing as there is less grit on the vehicle when we start our hand wash process.

Prewash-Snowfoam

Two Bucket Method - Using one bucket filled with soap and another with water the wash mitt is rinsed in the water before we dip it back into the soap bucket and hand wash your vehicle. We also use Grit Guards that hold dirt at the bottom of the bucket for extra protection.

Contamination - This refers to anything that would be left over from the snow foam & hand washing process. Things such as Tar, Sap, Iron deposits, and road grime stuck to the paint.

tar removal

Clay cloth or Clay bar - Using lubrication a sticky clay bar or clay cloth is lightly rubbed over the exterior of the vehicle, removing contaminates easily. This can cause minor swirling so we only offer this with a exterior detail or polish to remove swirls caused by the process.

Iron-X  - Iron-X sprays on as a transparent liquid. As the cleansing liquid begins to work into the dirt and grime, the formula begins to turn purple/ red. The purple/red coloration is the Iron-X Cleaner forming a bond to the sintered iron on the car paint or wheels changing its state to a water soluble complex for easy removal of Iron Particles and prevents the spread of iron-related damage. This helps to protect your vehicle from paint system failure - there is no method that cleans your Paint/wheels as deep as Iron-X

pH Neutral  - A non acidic/alkaline cleaner. Our snow foam, hand wash shampoo, Iron-X spray and all exterior cleaners we use are pH neutral unless needed. This will not strip ceramic coatings/sealants or slowly deteriorate the paint like conventional chemicals used for car cleaning.

Paint Enhancement  - An all in one polish, applied by machine. This enhances the paints depth/gloss, adds a semi permanent protective layer, and removes minor scratches without the need for further steps or refining. Perfect if you're looking for a polish to make your vehicles paint smooth and mirror like but not needing major scratches removed.

Paint Correction  - Refers to the restoration of paintwork. Using A heavy compound and pad with our machine polishers we can remove Swirls, scratches, oxidization, and watermark spots that regular polishing can't. We then refine the paint with lighter polishes and pads to create ultimate depth and a swirl free surface. * Generally if you can fit the tip of your finger-nail into a scratch it is too deep to remove and would need re-painting. We can blend deeper scratches to make them less noticeable but they will not be "perfect".

Carnauba Wax  - Carnauba waxes bring out more gloss than our sealant but are less durable as they are organic. Great for weekend drivers or show cars.

Sealant  - A synthetic sealant that provides durable protection to the exterior paint, windows, wheels or calipers. Last's around 2-3 times longer than our Carnauba wax. Great for any vehicle.

Ceramic Coating  - Ceramic coatings are semi permanent and outlast any wax or sealant by miles. They give the deepest glossiest finish to your paint possible while also giving it tough, durable protection by repelling UV rays, water, oils, dirt, and contaminants and are resistance to wash induced marring, bird dropping damage, stains, high or low temperatures, and traffic film. They make maintenance washing super easy and have self cleaning properties. A must have for any car enthusiast.
